LIFT CLUB

Where women come to get stronger.

Once a week, we pick up heavy-to-you things and put them down. On purpose. With good form, because our bodies will carry us the rest of our lives, and we deserve to feel strong for the trip.

Somewhere between the warmup and the last set, the talking starts. Real talk. About bodies that are changing. Sleep that isn’t what it used to be. The thousand quiet ways midlife rearranges you. That part isn’t scheduled. It just happens when women lift together.

No experience needed. Cancel anytime.

This is for you if

You’ve never been taught to lift and want to learn it right: loading, technique, reps, sets, how training for strength and longevity works.

You’re a seasoned lifter looking for a club of women who lift.

You want to feel stronger and more capable, not just tired at the end of an hour.

You want the same time, same place, same women, every week. Not another app you forget to open.

How the hour runs.

01

Circle up

We start together, every time.

02

Warm up

We move the joints and muscles we’re about to load, and check in on what the body’s carrying that day.

03

Learn it, then lift it

We walk through the movement first: loading, positioning, common mistakes. Then you practice while Meredyth coaches you one at a time. Think small-group personal training where everyone works from the same strength program.

04

Cool down

We close the way we opened.

a note from your coach

“If you’re ready to lift heavy, laugh hard, and leave feeling like the badass you were born to be? Welcome home.”

This isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about finding out what your body can do when someone coaches you and you show up, week after week.

Here’s what I can promise you for your first night: someone shows you exactly what to do. Nobody points at a barbell and leaves you to figure it out.

position first, weight second

Before load goes on, Meredyth checks: is the joint ready to carry it? The bar gets heavier only once the position is right.

you set the pace

Some days you push hard. Some days the weights stay light. Both are training, and you learn to know the difference.

more than muscle

Lifting stirs up more than muscle. When emotions show up here, they’re not a distraction from the work. They are the work.

Fair questions

Is this CrossFit?

No. Lift Club meets at Brazen Fitness, but there’s no clock and no workout-of-the-day. You train the same lifts each week and add weight as you’re ready.

I’m not fit enough to start.

There’s no fitness level you need to reach first. Day one can be a broomstick and a light dumbbell. The weight grows when you’re ready, not before.

What do I need to bring?

Comfortable clothes and flat-soled shoes. We’ve got the bars and the plates, chalk included.

When and where?

Thursdays, 6:30 to 7:30pm, at Brazen Fitness, 607 S Ball St, Arlington, VA (Crystal City).
